Although I might be a little pessimistic about a movie’s chance of making real social change, the proper amount of payed attention could have an effect similar to the one Brian De Palma failed to create with Redacted; I just hope this is a little more consistent.

The trailer also shows snippets of interviews with servicewomen who were rape victims, and then victimized again by a military system that used denial and intimidation to silence them.

Hopefully the work is balanced, and hopefully its taken as the honest criticism that it aspires to be.

Inevitably, some will believe Dick is attacking the military, but while it’s a vital part of our nation and comprised of over a million dedicated and honorable citizens, the military is one government institution that demands this kind of keen oversight. Especially on an issue like this.
