Watch a five minute red band trailer for ’21 Jump Street’ and find out if the Channing Tatum/Jonah Hill action-comedy looks like a fun time at the movies.
21 Jump Street has a bevy of trailers and featurettes floating around. Most of them have been fairly mediocre and don’t make for compelling advertising.
Somehow, though, this new red band trailer for the movie actually looks pretty funny and adds some great little moments that might make the movie worth hitting up once it comes out in theaters.
The movie reboots the original 1980s television show that starred Johnny Depp and Richard Greco. This time Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill takes on the roles that Depp and Greco portrayed. The film version is going for more of the comedy route than the somewhat darker “after-school-special” vibe that the original Fox show had.
Also, Nick Offerman, aka Ron Swanson, is the police chief, which is awesome.
21 Jump Street hits theaters on March 16, 2012.
