‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Soundtrack preview hints at Epic Conclusion. Hans Zimmer’s score, available July 17, has familiar elements of triumph and darkness.

If you haven’t picked up tickets for the midnight premiere or the marathon of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, then you should probably get on that since they’ve been on sale since Monday, June 11th, and you don’t want to be stuck outside crying without a ticket.

Of course, if you happen to be unable to see the film as soon as it opens on July 20th, you can feel a bit better knowing you can have Hans Zimmer’s presumably awesome score for The Dark Knight Rises in your hands on July 17th.

Almost as intrinsic to the look and feel of “The Dark Knight” trilogy as Wally Pfister’s cinematography, Hans Zimmer’s score has backed the most memorable moments of Christopher Nolan’s Batman films. With the final film of the series quickly approaching, it’s only appropriate that Zimmer’s music be there for the farewell.

Each track hints at what’s happening in any particular scene and the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ fans among us can dig in and try to figure out exactly what these hints mean.

Of course, if you’re trying to remain spoiler-free, you might want to skip it, but it’s mild at best (there’s no track titled “OMG, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Robin!”). The fun is in the speculation on what these cryptic titles mean when we try to match them up with what we already know about ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

For his final score of the series, Zimmer tried something unprecedented. The composer called out for fans from all over the world to record themselves chanting. The voices were then layered on top of each other to create the effect of an enormous unified force. The chanting has already appeared in several clips and teasers from the film, including the six-minute prologue that played in front of “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.”
